A senior at the Punahou School, Jairus Rhoades has been playing the piano for 11 years and currently studies with Mrs. Joanna Zane Fan in Honolulu, Hawaii. 

     Jairus’ accolades include performing in Kea’au, Hawaii (Big Island), for NPR’s From the Top with Christopher O’Riley Show #330, First Prize in the Steinway Piano Competition Division III (Hawaii State), Third Prize in the Cooper International Piano Festival Competition, Second prize in the American Protege Competition, and Honorable Mention in the IIYM Festival Competition. 

     Jairus has performed with the University of Hawai’i Orchestra, enjoys playing chamber music, and is a member of the Chang piano trio and Vaught Piano quintet.
