Taito Shimomura has studied piano with Kumiko Murase, Hiroko Fujii, Shoko Sugitani, Ryuichi Kusumoto, Hisayuki Ohara, and Rintaro Omi in Japan.  He has also studied with Marko Hilpo, Konstantin Bogino at the Kuhmo Chamber Music Festival Master Course in Finland.
     Dr. Shimomura has performed the Brahms piano quartet with the Polish Prima Vista Chamber Ensemble, Beethoven’s “Emperor” concerto with Ensemble Kobe in Japan.
     Success in amateur competitions include 1st prize in the 2018 International Amateur Piano Competition in Tokyo, and 1st prize in the 11th European International Piano Competition in Japan.
     A graduate of University of Occupational and Environmental Health Japan (UOEH), Dr. Shimomura currently works at a hospital as psychiatrist and music therapist.
